Puri, the sacred city of India, is a Coastal district in the state of Odisha and is around 60 kms away from Bhubaneshwar. It is known as Jagannath Puri because the most sacred Lord Jagannath Puri Temple is there which is an abode to Bhagwan Jagannath (the Lord of the Universe). Jagannath, who is the lord of the universe, is believed to reside at this place. How to reach Puri?

By Air- The nearest airport to Puri is Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik airport, which is nearly 60 kms away from Puri. So, in order to reach Puri, first you have to take a flight to Bhubaneswar and from Bhubaneswar Airport, take a cab to Puri which will take approx. two hours to reach Puri.

By Rail- Puri is well connected with rest of the India by trains.

By Road- Puri is well connected to all the states through buses. You can find direct buses to Puri from Kolkata and Vishakhapatnam. You will also find minibuses to Konark that leave in every twenty minutes. Orissa Tourism Development Corporation run buses for sightseeing in Puri.
